You are cordially invited to the 2027 Dennis Carter Student Athlete Scholarship Golf Tournament! All proceeds of the event benefit the Dennis Carter Student Athlete Scholarship Fund administered by the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation.
The Dennis Carter Student Athlete Scholarship provides scholarships to student athletes who demonstrated financial need and have shown leadership on the field, in the classroom, and in the community in the City of Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell.
In the spring of each academic year, a committee reviews student applications and selects one male and one female student to receive the scholarship. Previous award recipients have gone on to attend institutions such as Virginia Tech and Christopher Newport University. By supporting this event and the Dennis Carter Student Athlete Scholarship Fund, you make the continued support of student athletes in our community possible!
